Shiva's heads look into different directions and also upwards. It symbolizes the supreme consciousness and state of oneness and enlightenment.

The upper right hand of Shiva is holding an axe which symbolizes the power to remove negativity from the mind & from the heart.

The lower left hand is receiving and the right hand is giving. It is the balance of giving and receiving in life, of inhaling and exhaling. Givers get, this is the core principle of Shiva Guruji and what he conveys through this luminous painting. The enlightening light shines through Shiva who is surrounded by Om sounds in Sanskrit calligraphy. Om is the sound of origin, the sound of the Universe. It means OM = AUM - Astitva (Existence) Usasa (Breath) Masti (joy & happiness).

The cobra around the neck of Shiva symbolizes the life journey with its ups and downs. It is also showing the ability of remaining neutral when facing challenges, which is depicted by the cobra. Shiva is in total bliss and enlightened although there is the cobra around his neck.
